WELCOME TO CHONDROSARCOMA SUPPORT
Whether you are newly diagnosed or have already been through it all, you will find a good place within the Chondrosarcoma Support Group. Here is where you can find information and share common interests with others who understand the uniqueness of the diagnosis and what you are experiencing .
Joining our group is simple - first, read the rules below this message. Then, register for an account at our forum. Your profile information can only be viewed by other members after you are approved for membership - it cannot be viewed by the public at any time. And you can check a box to hide your e-mail address from everyone but our administrator(s).
After your membership has been accepted, you need to create an introductory post, so others can get to know you and offer support. Or perhaps you would like to offer support to others?
No matter where your chondrosarcoma is located, there is someone in the group who has the same, and you can learn from their experiences.
You don't have to be alone in your situation. There are others with chondrosarcoma diagnosis who have been where you are.
Please read the following rules before registering.
We want your experience at the Chondrosarcoma Support Group to be enjoyable, meaningful, and safe. So that the forum remains a great place for all of us to share, please abide by the following rules.
1. All members agree to post an introductory message in the forum. If you are here for information and/or support this is the first step. Please do not lurk! Your time spent on the forum is logged.
2. Respect everyone and be responsible.
Comments of a religious nature are not permitted except in private messaging which is provided in the site. We come from different backgrounds, experiences, cultures and religions from all over the world.
3. Politics, use of foul language or making sexual comments is not permitted. Doing so will result in termination of membership.
4. Selling services or products; asking for donations for yourself or any agency is not permitted. If your post is deemed objectionable, forum moderators reserve the right to edit or delete it, and can do so without notification. Please remember that you are responsible for the contents of your posts.
5. Do not seek or give medical advice.
Feel free to ask about others' experiences, but you are responsible to consult your physician. Everyone is welcome to share their personal experiences relating to their treatments, side effects, etc., but do not offer direct medical advice.
6. Do not promote scientifically unsubstantiated "miracle cures"
Alternatives to appropriate medical treatment are not acceptable. There is a fine line with regards to complementary and alternative medicines, many of which are valuable for cancer patients. Your physician is the only one qualified to give you legal medical advice.
7. Keep your account current.
Because we are an active support community, accounts that have been inactive for three months, those who never visit the site after registering, those who do not post and those without a valid e-mail address will be removed. If you feel your membership was discontinued unnecessarily, please feel free to re-apply.
8. The moderators decisions are final.
The leadership reserves the right to delete any message at any time for any reason or no reason at all. The administrator reserves the right to suspend a membership if he or she believes that a member's messages have a negative impact on others, or if the member's posts are consistently out of the scope of this forum.
Rules are subject to change at any time as needed. Views expressed in postings are those of the individual and are not necessarily those of the Chondrosarcoma Support Group. We cannot guarantee the accuracy or validity of any message. These message boards are not meant as a substitute for the advice of a doctor, therapist, or other trained professional.
Ready to Join Us?
When you register, please use your first name (or nickname) as your username. Please do not use a cover ID.
This is an intimate group discussing personal issues of a medical nature. If you are seeking support or offering it we want to know each other by name. If your name is taken, add something to the end of it. For example, if your name is Robert, register as Rob or Bob_ or as Bob_S or as Bob_2003. Get the idea? Keep as close to your own name as possible. You really don't want to be known as PicklesCat, do you? You might use the year of your diagnosis after your first name. You can even use your last name if you are so inclined. Using our names is what makes this a friendly and close community of people who care about each other. Membership is not for informational purposes only.
By registering you understand and agree that you have read the rules and will abide by them. Your membership will be approved as soon as possible, usually within 24 hours of your registration. if you have not received notice of approval, please do not wait for notification. Sign into the group to see if you have been approve. If you find you would like to increase your chances of having approval as soon as possible, please contact the site owner: (chondrosarcoma_care AT yahoo DOT com)
